Carbohydrates and Diabetes – Staying Healthy Longer

Did you know that taking in between 20 and 90 grams of Carbohydrates per day has been shown to be effective at improving blood sugar management? Join Kausar Khan, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), as she shares information about Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, the differences between them and how to manage each one. She will also talk about ways to prevent diabetes, how to count carbohydrates effectively and offer some exercise recommendations. She will also discuss reasonable goals for A1C and what health screenings every diabetic should have done annually.
