DESCRIPTION:If you have a baby six months and younger and want to get out to spend time with other new Moms\, please join us for an informal support group on Tuesday mornings. \nRegistration is not required – this is a drop-in group. \nLocation: Manchester Hospital Family Birthing Center Education Room\n71 Haynes Street\nManchester\, CT 06040 \n*Directions to Manchester Hospital Main Entrance\, 71 Haynes Street\, Manchester\, CT 06040:\nFrom Main Street in Manchester\, turn onto Haynes Street. The Main Entrance is located on the right just past Guard Street. Free parking is located directly across the street from the main entrance or valet parking is available in the circular driveway at the front entrance. Enter the hospital through the main entrance and check in with security just inside.\nOnce you have received your visitor sticker\, turn to your right and go down that hallway until you reach the next hallway. Turn left and look for elevators on the right. Take elevator to the 1st floor (press 1). If you prefer stairs\, take the stairs up one flight. Once off elevator or out of stairway\, follow the hallway to the lobby of the Family Birthing Center (FBC). SUMMARY:Fit For Delivery Prenatal Exercise Class - Drop In (Medical Clearance Required)
DESCRIPTION:This class held Saturday July 19 from 9:00 am – 10:00 pm. \nWe are excited to launch a new prenatal exercise class designed for expectant mothers. Taught by an A.C.E. Certified Group Fitness Instructor and experienced Childbirth Educator. Classes will include a warm up\, pregnancy specific exercises\, low impact cardio workout\, circuit and strength training\, stretching and relaxation techniques. \nBenefits of exercise during pregnancy include:\n• Faster postpartum recovery\n• Increased strength\, stamina and energy\n• Less pregnancy-related back pain and improved posture\n• Relief of common pregnancy discomforts\n• Relief of daily stress and tension \nNo exercise experience is necessary. Exercises can be modified based on individual needs. \nMedical clearance is required so ask your Doctor or Midwife to write a note saying it’s OK to exercise and either email it to lsembersky@echn.org or bring it with you to the first class. We are sorry but without a note\, you will not be allowed to participate.

A variety of hands-on techniques are taught to aid digestion\, improve sleep patterns\, help soothe fussiness and enhance baby’s growth and development. Moms learn to read baby’s cues\, meet other moms\, get support\, gain confidence in parenting and learn about baby’s emerging personality. Massage instruction handouts and oils included. \nBest taken when babies are 6 weeks until crawling. SUMMARY:Fit For Delivery Prenatal Fitness Series (Medical Clearance Required)
DESCRIPTION:This class will run 4 Saturdays: July 12\, July 19\, August 2 & August 16 from 9:00 – 10:00 am  \nWe are excited to launch a new prenatal exercise class designed for expectant mothers.  Taught by an A.C.E. Certified Group Fitness Instructor and experienced Childbirth Educator and Birth Doula.  Classes will include a warm up\, pregnancy specific exercises\, low impact cardio workout\, circuit and strength training\, stretching and relaxation techniques.  \nBenefits of exercise during pregnancy include:\n•	Faster postpartum recovery\n•	Increased strength\, stamina and energy\n•	Less pregnancy-related back pain and improved posture\n•	Relief of common pregnancy discomforts\n•	Relief of daily stress and tension \nNo exercise experience is necessary.  Exercises can be modified based on individual needs.   \nMedical clearance is required so ask your Doctor or Midwife to write a note saying it’s OK to exercise and either email it to ecrayton@echn.org or bring it with you to the first class.  We are sorry but without a note\, you will not be allowed to participate.   \n$20.00 per class drop-in option also available.

DESCRIPTION:If you have a baby six months and younger and want to get out to spend time with other new Moms\, please join us for an informal support group on Tuesday mornings. \nRegistration is not required – this is a drop-in group. \nLocation: Manchester Hospital Family Birthing Center Education Room\n71 Haynes Street\nManchester\, CT 06040 \n*Directions to Manchester Hospital Main Entrance\, 71 Haynes Street\, Manchester\, CT 06040:\nFrom Main Street in Manchester\, turn onto Haynes Street. The Main Entrance is located on the right just past Guard Street. Free parking is located directly across the street from the main entrance or valet parking is available in the circular driveway at the front entrance. Enter the hospital through the main entrance and check in with security just inside.\nOnce you have received your visitor sticker\, turn to your right and go down that hallway until you reach the next hallway. Turn left and look for elevators on the right. Take elevator to the 1st floor (press 1). If you prefer stairs\, take the stairs up one flight. Once off elevator or out of stairway\, follow the hallway to the lobby of the Family Birthing Center (FBC). The Education Room is just off the FBC lobby. \nTime: 10 – 11 am \nThe group is usually facilitated by an FBC staff member who is also a Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) but all feeding choices are supported. \nIf you have any questions\, please email Perinatal Education Coordinator: bcrayton@echn.org or call 860-647-4790.
